Italians love La Festa
This is just one of the celebrations. Not sure what the celebration was for
It was last Sunday at the Spanish Steps (near our apartment)
The various groups were representing different regions in Italy and the music, singing and dancing went for almost two hours

Was it fun to watch and listen to or a little annoying?
ReplyDeleteCarolyn - Your e-mail address came right back at me ("away from the office till 2011"!) - so I'm posting this right here (perhaps it will get through this way) - on your blog:
ReplyDeleteDear Carolyn and Alan,
How lovely to hear from you!
Fond wishes and warm greetings
back to you.
It was indeed a pleasure meeting up with you too
and hearing of your extraordinary, wonderful ongoing adventure.
We'll try to check in every so often with your "blog"
and see how you're doing
(tho' I can't imagine it being anything other than amazing,
"once-in-a-lifetime"
I know you're two very lucky (wonderful) people
and (deservedly) having fun.
We, after we left you, were,
despite our well-grounded fears
of volcanic ash,
able to make it the next morning out to London,
and from thence to New York City (where I am)
and Toronto (where Sarah is).
We join up again June 15 (in Toronto.
I can't wait..
just counting the days!..
yes, who knows, one day, who knows, in the future..
meantime, all the very best to you
and continued "happy travels"
Simon and Sarah
Cheers!
Ciao amici
ReplyDeleteYes Simon got your email. Much appreciate
Melissa, the event was great fun. We only stayed for a little while
Ciao
